Hi folks!

It seems so quiet here nowdays but I have a feeling that RBRChamp will continue the next season the 2008 season. Personally I am very interested to take part in the champ.

The question is. Is the plugin ready to handle the champ? It would be nice to hear something about the plans and the status of the plugin. I am sure it's not easy task to do. Sebi, could you share some thoughts about next season and the status of the plugin? Please

What are Your thoughts, expectations? I wish we can drive those challenging reversed tracks next season

Yes reversed tracks are nice..but for example stage like Stryckovy Okruch is some kind of mistake in my opinion..Just stage for cross country cars Maybe I just can't handle car on this stage , maybe I have to practice more..but I can't understand this stage

Hi Jarek! Take that stage as a challenge. My pb is now 4:08 with Xsara WRC 05 and Mika Maki made great setup for it. It handles all bumps nicely but ofcourse it takes some practice to go flatout on every corner. Anyway new stages are more than wellcome no matter how twisty and crazy they might be

Now I am not using WRC cars I like N or S2000 more So probably I have to make some good setup as well but 4:08 it's something crazy We will see so far I don't like this stage to much:)

Info:

in 2008 i will start the champ on the simfan plugin. The cars order and flexibility and result integration is much better for the champ.

We started the hungarian champ already with this plugin and it handels very well.
There is no more discuss about request, there is automatic solution for the most common game crashes.
Tyre usage is solved and the car has new tyres after every service.
Flexible legs, so champ can be a silge rally with 2 legs (parallell opening for 1st day).
And the most important the cars. These cars are good for a champ, the cars in each class are not much different in speed, great heandling for all cars. It is easy to give cars for manufacturer teams ect...

to add reversed track is possible, it's only a matter of time. Falcon can do it, he told me.

There will be a new login system for signing up and creating teams and manage team members. It works perfect with the current Hungarian champ, so i have to fit to the champ and it's done too.

It depends on your performance. Have You some experience and tournament wins with a WRC car? You shoul understand, that many people will join the manufacturer teams and the decision is not easy.

But i'm not yet the captain, so i can't decide yet..

Very fast indeed.. i got drivers that i couldn't even dream of..

So, Team is Me, Sebestyen Nagy and Tommi Hirvela.

There are no modified physics available in the plugin yet. One thing is sure, there will be not only one surface type.

You can use all cars of your category. Fix car usage is only for manufacturer teams an obligation.

I have some questions about the 2008 season and the new features in the plugin:

I was test driving the Fiesta S2000 and found out there is no 'long' gearbox. Is this right or do I have a problem?

Second question is about the tyre wear. I couldn't find it in any other topic, but if there is then I'm sorry for posting it here again:
How does tyre wear work? Does it depend on the driving style? (less sideways = less wear) Or is it equal to everyone? So everyone is driving with the same amount of wear each stage. And is there any difference between cars? I mean S2000 cars have to rev up a lot more than any other type of car, except for the S1600, to keep up the speed. In real life this would mean there is more tyre wear.
Please enlighten me

S2000 cars don't have long gearbox, all have the same gearbox.

Tyre wear depends only on you and your driving style. This is the normal tyre wear feature of the rbr, the plugin saves only the tyre wear and takes over the values to the next stage.

I wish the very best of luck to you all, for the Champ 2008.

I completed the 1st leg of the Monte Carlo a half hour ago.
I must say i am surprised about how many non-hungarian drivers have sterted already (This is my first Champ, so i lack experiense about how many people are driving usually)

I do not count on outstanding results, mostly because i drive with a Keyboard. But i still hope that with a bit of luck i will be able to steal some ponts in the category.
I was positively surprised about the times i had, but sadly went off the track in the first run through Cote d'Arbroz, and i needed Call4Help.

I must congratulate the creator of the rally (Sebi i think), i really enjoyed driving. Especially the part with the Gravel tyres on Asphalt.

Again i wish all of you a succesfull 2008 Champ, and the very best of luck!

Half way through the first stage the screen went blue briefly and crashed to desktop... I've never seen this happen before during normal racing.
Please say I didn't recce all day to retire from ctd?
Is there anything I can do? I was really looking forward to this event

Finaly i got the plugin working. and like the physics very very much. I Think it's closer to real physics than czech plugin

Now iam searching manufacture seat for the rest off the season i love the ford and wanne drive for one off the ford teams. strong points of me i love tarmac bud also fast on gravel iam not the fastest driver bud i want to finisch the rally as good as possible. reaching the finisch is my strongest point. iam realy want to bring the car to the finisch

i hope to hear soon from one off the Ford teams i prever the Stobart Team. bud other manufacture teams also good
